While you're at IT why not read Funny in Farsi or Three Cups of Tea or the No. 1. Ladies Dectective Agency.
Interpreter of Maladies is great by the way. I haven't read The Namesake (mostly from fear of the size of the book - though I did finish Shantaram so I don't know I am worrying about). But now I don't have to anymore... I can just watch the movie (and then read the book).
